Pleasantville boys and girls split Friday night against Lenox as the girls fell 55-48 and the Trojans’ boys won 60-59. The Pleasantville girls started off the night with a nine point lead in the second quarter, but saw that quickly evaporate. The Tigers used the momentum to walk away in the second half to take home the win 55-48. Kennedy Core led the team with 21 points on the night. The second game of the night saw the Trojan boys take home a win after Chris Peden drained a jumper with 1.2 seconds on the clock to win by the final score of 60-59. Pleasantville twice pulled away by double-digits earlier in the game but allowed the Tigers to pull back into the game until Peden hit the game winner. Dylan Lauer led the team with 16 points on the night. After the game, Coach Wilkins talked about the close finish from Friday night. Both the boys and girls are in action on Saturday against Chariton in a make-up game from December.
