The Pella Fire Department and Pella Ambulance will take part in some rescue training over the next coming weeks. This weekend they will hold a trench rescue training. Trench rescues involve bracing the sides of a ditch that has collapsed on someone during construction. They will participate in an Ice rescue training in early February as well. Ice rescue training involves putting on a suit that not only protects the wearer from the freezing water, but also helps them to float.
