On the back end of their 2012-13 schedule, the PCM basketball squads will play five of their next seven games at home, starting with a girls’-boys’ match-up with Roland-Story this evening. Both Mustangs’ teams scored better than 60 points in their first meet-up in December. The Mustangs’ girls were able to handle the Norsemen, but Roland-Story has turned things around since, winning five of their last eight contests. A big key for PCM will be to hold their top scorer, Natalie Vance, to limited production as they did in their first go-round. The Mustangs’ boys are still playing strong defense and using that as their offense. PCM has yet to allow a team to score over 60 points in a game this season, and will need to step it up against Ryan Skaar, who averages 18 points per game and shoots 40 percent from downtown. The Heart of Iowa doubleheader tonight is PCM’s “Coaches vs. Cancer” game, and tips off at 6:00 p.m.
