Twin Cedars’ and Melcher-Dallas’ varsity basketball squads will be looking to carry their recent success forward from Tuesday as they’ll each play a doubleheader tonight. Twin Cedars gets to take their show on the road to Mormon Trail. The Sabers’ girls have all of the momentum in the world, after knocking off a previously unbeaten Moravia squad in back-to-back games, one of them being for the Bluegrass Conference tournament championship. The Sabers’ boys are currently working on their first two-game winning streak of the season, and are facing a struggling Mormon Trail team to try to gain some momentum as they await the brackets for the boys’ regional tournament. The Saints will stay at home to play a difficult Lamoni team who bounced the Saints’ girls from the tournament in the semis last week and whose boys are a stellar 13 – 1 on the season. The Sabers’ and Saints’ girls will each tip-off tonight at 6:15 p.m.
