It was Lamoni who came marching in to Melcher-Dallas on Friday night and swept the Saints in doubleheader basketball action. The girls fell 29 – 23 and the boys lost 80 – 51. Head coach Jim Wells told KNIA/KRLS Sports that just about every shot Lamoni put up went down for them, and his team just had no answer for them. Wells was happy with the shot distribution of his team and that the scoring was spread out. Chase Wetterling had 11 to lead the Saints, while his brother, Clay, and Kenneth Waddle each poured in ten. The boys drop to 6 – 8 overall, and the girls are now 5 – 11; each team will return to action this evening to go to Liberty Center and face Southeast Warren.
