The Knoxville School Board discussed the future school resource officer position during their regular meeting last night. The school board did not vote on the 28E agreement with the City last night, but is expected to approve it at their next meeting on February 11th. Police Chief Dan Losada told the board that the officer may not start working in the school until the fall as he’s working on filling vacancies in his own staff. Losada added that at least two veteran Knoxville officers – Randy Puyear and Darrel Brown – have expressed an interest in the position, and more may be as well.
