Playing in their third game in five days, with four-in-six coming tomorrow night, Pleasantville’s basketball crews travel all the way to Lenox for a doubleheader this evening. The honeymoon period was short for the Trojans’ girls; after beating East Union for their first win of the season exactly one week ago, they’ve fallen to Clarke and Martensdale since. The Tigers’ girls have had their own struggles this season, also with only a one in the “W” column. The two teams are very equal on paper, averaging about 35 points per game, and shooting roughly the same percentage from the field. Pleasantville’s boys have won four straight, and will have to shut down a couple hot shooters on Lenox’s side to tally another victory. Caleb Lange shoots better than 50 percent from the field and averages almost 14 points per game, while Mason Peterson averages 12 a game. If you aren’t able to make the trip to Lenox, we’ll have Kris Krug there to do the dirty work for you, starting with the Iowa State Savings Bank pregame show, streamed live at kniakrls.com, at around 6:15 p.m.
