Twin Cedars’ basketball teams have been hot as of late. The girls have won a season-high nine games in a row, while the boys are winners of four of their last five contests. Tonight, the Sabers will travel to Southeast Warren for the penultimate game of their season. The Warhawks’ girls enter play with a 10 – 8 record, and just recently beat Wayne 56 – 42 on Tuesday. Since starting 2013 with two straight losses, the Sabers’ girls have rebounded nicely, beating their last nine competitors by an average of almost 22 points per game. Twin Cedars’ boys have been riding good defense lately to some wins and one tough loss to a ranked opponent. Coach Alan Stewart said that if his team keeps up their defensive intensity and “ups” their game in a few other categories, they could give other teams fits in the postseason. The Sabers’ boys enter play at 10 – 8. Tonight’s doubleheader tips off at 6:15 p.m.
