Unemployment data for November has been released by Iowa Workforce Development. In Marion County, the unemployment rate has decreased slightly since October, but the labor force has shrunk as well. 30 less people are unemployed bringing the unemployment rate down a tenth of a percent to 4.1%. But the number of people who are employed has decreased by 120. Statewide the unemployment rate fell from 5.1% to 4.9%. The national unemployment rate is at 7.9%.
