One woman was transported to Iowa Methodist in Des Moines after a one-vehicle accident yesterday morning. A red Ford Focus struck a tree after losing control on an s-Curve on Highway 5 north of Marysville. Traffic was blocked for nearly an hour-and-a-half as responders extracted the woman and cleaned up the scene of the accident. Fog is believed to have played a contributing role in the accident. The woman’s name is being withheld pending notification of out-of-state relatives and her condition is unknown.
