Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey visited with farmers in Pella Monday night at a meeting put on by Van Gorp Insurors. Northey tells KNIA/KRLS News that the farmers were expectedly worried about the drought, and if it will impact the next growing season. He says that last year highlighted the importance of crop insurance for many farmers, but we were fortunately able to have a better production year than expected despite the dry conditions.
