A Knoxville man was arrested Sunday after he was accused of stealing lottery tickets and tools. Nathan Minard has been charged with Third Degree Burglary. According to Marion County Court Documents, the property owner at a location on North Kent Street in Knoxville reported those items missing on Sunday afternoon. He told police Minard had been the only other person he knew that was at his place that day. Police investigated and later found the scratch tickets were redeemed at the Phillips 66 in Knoxville. The tickets appeared to have had one name scratched off and Minard’s name signed over the top. Minard later denied taking the tickets, telling police that they were his. If convicted, Minard faces up to five years in prison.
