Twin Cedars’ girls breezed by Southeast Warren on the hardwood Tuesday night, winning their second round contest 52 – 35. Coach Justin Nolte told KNIA/KRLS Sports that his team did a much better job of shooting foul shots, and were energized from the get-go. Big three’s by Ayla Crosby and Brittney Roby helped add fuel to the fire for the Sabers, and Nolte also said that his team was hustling after just about every loose ball and played good defense the entire game. Ayla Crosby led the team with 15 points, and Brittney Roby contributed 14 for the now 20 – 3 Twin Cedars’ girls. With Moravia winning their second rounder over Wayne, 62 – 48, it sets up a fourth meeting between these two teams on Friday night in Albia at 7:00 p.m., for a chance to advance to the regional finals against either Earlham or Adair-Casey.
