The spec building at Sunset Ridge will be torn down sometime in the next few months. The house has sat vacant for some time since the Sunset Ridge development was scratched. The building has since become what Assistant City Manager Dylan Feik called “an attractive nuisance,” as several juveniles have been using the spot as a hang-out of sorts. A Valley Bank representative told the Knoxville City Council this week they will have it deconstructed, but need to wait for weather conditions to improve.
