After dispensing of Woodward-Granger on Monday, 65 – 36, the Pella Christian girls’ basketball team is preparing for their trip to the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines this coming Monday. The reward the Eagles received for powering through their regional bracket is getting to face top ranked Western Christian in the quarterfinals of the Class 2A Girls’ State Tournament. One junior on the team, Lauren Jungling, said that having a chance to square off against the Wolfpack on the big stage has been a dream of hers for a while. Western Christian won the first meet-up between the two teams back in late December, 82 – 51, not to mention their win over the Eagles in March of 2012 for the Class 2A title. The Eagles and Wolfpack tip-off at 5:00 p.m. this Monday night in Des Moines.
