Twin Cedars and Moravia have gotten pretty familiar with one another this season, and tonight, they’ll play the most important game of both of their seasons when they match-up for the fourth time this year in the Class 1A girls’ basketball regional semifinals. The Mohawks were able to hand the Sabers their first loss of the season when they first met, but since then, Twin Cedars has won the last two in back-to-back games, one of them for the Bluegrass Conference Tournament title. Statistically, these two teams are almost identical on paper, with the Mohawks having just a slightly better offensive season than the Sabers. Tonight’s regional semifinal match is in Albia and will tip-off at 7:00 p.m. The winner will play either Earlham or Adair-Casey in Truro this Monday night for a chance to advance to Des Moines and the Class 1A state tournament.
