Closing out their regular season schedule this week, the Central men’s and women’s basketball team will host a doubleheader against Loras on Wednesday, which has been designated as the Dutch’s “Coaches vs. Cancer” games. Central has dubbed it “Pink Out” night, and they have a variety of items available for sale to help raise money that will be donated locally to the Pella Regional Health Center for Breast Cancer Screenings. Central’s women’s basketball coach, Mike Jacobsma, said that they would like to reach four figures, but really any amount would be beneficial. Jacobsma said that pink t-shirts are still available for ten dollars, and at the game on Wednesday, they will be selling cookies donated by Jaarsma Bakery, as well as pink ribbons. There will also be a bucket for free-will donations. The cookies and ribbons will be sold in the lobby of the P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium starting at 5:30 p.m., and tip-off the women’s game is at 6:00.
