The final step on the road to the State Wrestling Meet is today as districts get underway state-wide. Knoxville will host a class two-A District. After qualifying four grapplers out of last week’s Albia Sectional…Knoxville will try to get those four in the top two and advance to State next week. 170 pounder Aaron Crossett, Colton Spaur at 182, Jac Agan at 195, and Broc Caviness at 220 pounds will represent Knoxville in front of the home crowd. Coach Ron Peterson says the guys will have to come ready because this may be one of the toughest districts in class 2A. Wrestlers from Chariton, Albia, Grinnell, Davis County, Centerville, I-35, Winterset, Clarke, A-D-M. Creston-Orient/Macksburg, and Central Decatur will also vie for a spot at State. The action begins at noon.
