The Knoxville Boys Bowling Squad is making their second trip to the state meet in the last three seasons. Last year, the Panthers missed the state meet by just seven pins. Senior Billy Williams says the heartbreak of losing out by that slim of a margin, motivated the rest of the team this season to get back to the state meet. Both boys and girls squads will play in the state meet for the first time in school history as the girls qualified for their first ever trip. Knoxville is one of the seven schools to qualify both boys and girls squads to the state meet. The other six are: Dubuque Wahlert, Cedar Rapids Xavier, Red Oak, Western Dubuque, Lemars, and Creston. The State Meet is March 11th at Plaza Lanes in Des Moines.
