The Knoxville City Council finalized some decisions last week in an effort to help taxpayers. Assistant City Manager Dylan Feik says Council took action that prevented the debt levy from increasing. It was set to possibly increase due to bonds being issued in 2012. He also says the sewer fund was balanced without increasing rates. A five percent rate increase that had been scheduled for this upcoming year will now likely be cancelled.
