The PCM girls closed their regular season out on a high note, and the boys kept rolling, as each team had no problem dispensing Saydel on Friday night. A 20 – 2 first quarter was all the Mustangs’ girls needed in a 61 – 35 win. Abbi Gilson had 18 points, Courtney VanHouweling and Kelsey Townsend dumped in 15 points apiece. It was a 75 – 29 final for the boys’ game, thanks to evenly distributed scoring. Alex DeWitte and Nate VandeWall each had 17 points, while Dillon Bruxvoort added 15 and Ethan Kain scored 11. The Mustangs’ girls finished the regular season on a ten-game winning streak at 15 – 6, and the boys are currently sporting an 18 – 1 mark, the boys will next play against Nevada at home on Tuesday, while the girls will play a week from tonight to open up their run towards the state tournament against Bondurant-Ferrar.
