Even with a snow storm that is expected to dump at least four inches of snow in and around Marion County in a short period of time, both Pella and Grinnell’s boys’ basketball teams are still preparing to play one another in their Class 3A district final game, with the winner heading to Oskaloosa for the substate final. The two Little Hawkeye Conference foes split the regular season series with one another, and Coach Mark Core said that neither team will have to do much videotape watching of the other. Grinnell enters play with a record of 18 – 4 while Pella is 14 – 8. Tonight’s game will be pushed back to Friday if there is a postponement, and again to Saturday if it’s delayed again. Southeast Polk High School is the venue for the Class 3A district final, and you can catch all of the action on 92.1 KRLS and streamed live at kniakrls.com with Cory Houser and Randy Sikkema on the call. Pregame coverage is at 6:30 p.m. with tip-off at 7:00.
