City Administrator Mike Nardini says a big part of the 2014 budget includes road projects. Apart from work on major streets like Oskaloosa and the intersection of Broadway and Washington, 8 blocks of residential streets will be resurfaced. Nardini says that the streets that will be worked on are going to be decided on in upcoming meetings. The city plans to renovate 25% of residential streets over the next 12 years. Nardini says that since the work will only include resurfacing and not underground work, the residential street closures will be short construction projects.
