What would have been the Knoxville Boys Bowling Squad’s second trip and the girl’s first ever trip to the state meet will have to wait a couple of weeks. The impending snow storm that is predicted to hit Iowa has forced officials from both the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union and the Iowa High School Athletic Association to postpone the co-ed state meet that was set for today at Plaza Lanes in Des Moines. Knoxville Coach Matt Lopez says that just gives his teams a few more opportunities to work on their game. He adds a goal for the teams should be a top five finish. Lopez says there are a few teams that are some of the best in the state like Dubuque Wahlert and Cedars Rapids Xavier on the boys side and for the girls Lopez says Keokuk is one of the teams to beat. The State Meet has been postponed to March 11th with the action starting at Plaza Lanes in Des Moines at 11.
