A first half deficit didn’t faze the Twin Cedars’ girls’ basketball team, as they came back to beat Moravia Friday night, 74 – 63. Coach Justin Nolte told KNIA/KRLS Sports, that his girls were just not getting it done from the free throw line the first 16 minutes, and were not getting good looks at the basket to drop, and trailed 30 – 25 at the break. Brittany Roby was scorching hot shooting the ball in the second half, going 10-for-18 for the game and 4-of-6 from long distance to finish with a game-high 27 points. Alee Hugen added 20, and Ayla Crosby also dished in 17, as the Sabers improve to 21 – 3 on the year. They are just one step away from packing their bags to Des Moines, but will first have to get by Earlham on Monday night in Truro.
