Another day, another pair of wins for the Central softball team at the Tucson Invitational. Yesterday, the Dutch opened up the morning with a 5 – 0 victory over Trinity University; scoring all five of their runs in the first two innings. Kelsey Stender improved to 3 – 2 with a three-hit complete game shutout, the second in as many days for the Central women, who went on to beat Chatham 10 – 2 in five innings. The Dutch scored eight runs in the first to give them the cushion they needed to make a dominating statement in Arizona, where they are now 6 – 0, and overall, have an 8 – 4 mark. Central continues play this morning at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time against Dickinson and then wrap up the day with an afternoon contest with Concordia.
