A boil order is in place for Attica after a water main break. Bill Gibbons, with the Department of Natural Resources, tells KNIA/KRLS News that the advisory was put in place yesterday morning. A water main break decreases water pressure, allowing contaminants to enter into the water stream. Gibbons says repairs were being made yesterday, but the advisory will likely remain in place until tomorrow, as testing must be done after the repairs are finished. Marion County Environmental Health Coordinator Cory Frank tells KNIA/KRLS News that children and pregnant women should drink bottled water instead of the boiled water.
