The Central men’s golf team placed first in the Illinois-Springfield Invitational a couple weeks ago against a pair of Division II schools. In fact, the Dutch won the tournament by a whopping 17 strokes, with six of the top eight scores in the tourney being recorded by Central golfers. Head coach, Chad Green says that he told his guys that it’s pretty tough to have an undefeated season if you don’t win the first one. The invitational in St. Louis that was supposed to take place over the weekend was cancelled because of the snow storm, so his guys have been working at their indoor facilities on campus. The Central men’s golfers will be in action this Friday and Saturday down in Missouri at the Graceland Invitational in Maryville at one of the top ranked public courses in the state.
