In the midst of practices and just now this week able to get a few warm-ups outside because of the weather, the Pella Christian girls’ track and field team and coach Kevin Herdegen is starting to piece strengths and weaknesses of his athletes together to figure out a possible line-up for early in the year. Coach Herdegen told KNIA/KRLS Sports that he’s not really concerned with the first couple of meets because he’s still trying to find the perfect place for his girls. The Eagles’ coach said that there are a couple meets a little later on in the schedule that he’ll be paying particularly close attention to. Herdegen said that once they get by the Drake Relays later on in April, he’ll have a pretty good idea of what and who they can get qualified for the state meet. Pella Christian’s girls officially open up the year on March 26 at PCM.
