Avoiding the cold weather just north of them, the Central softball team is in St. Louis today for a pair of games, looking to continue their streaky pitching and offense. Starting the season 1 – 4 in Georgia, the Dutch have won ten of their last 11 contests, shutting out their opponents seven times during that time. Wisconsin-Platteville will be the first team they see this morning. The Pioneers are 1 – 3 so far on the season, and haven’t played since March 3; a game they lost 1 – 0 to Rhodes College. Following the 10:00 a.m. contest, Central will stick around to play Washington-St. Louis to wrap up their brief trip to the Gateway City. Following today’s games, Central will wrap up their non-conference part of the schedule with three home games next Friday and Saturday.
