The numbers have increased this year for the Pella Christian girls’ golf team compared to last year’s squad. This season, the Eagles have seven girls out as opposed to the five that were on the team a year ago, but all five of them are returning for another go around. Head coach, Larry Hessing, says that having all five athletes back saves the team some valuable time in practice. With the limited time the team has had to do any sort of practices outside because of Mother Nature, Hessing says that he can focus more on technical things with the girls rather than course etiquette and explaining how meets and tournaments are run. The Eagles’ girls’ golf team is scheduled to have their first meet of the season on April 2 at home against Colfax-Mingo.
