The Knoxville Boys Tennis Squad will be led by a different coach for the first time in many years. Joel Tonda retired after last season and now Josh McCollom will take over a program that has won numerous conference titles and a team state championship in 2001. McCollom was the head coach at Chariton last season and says he got to experience what head coaching is before taking over a program like Knoxville. McCollom says he has an advantage over most first year coaches with a new team because he saw Knoxville play several times last season. He knew he would take over the Panther program before last season ended so he started to watch Knoxville a little closer knowing that he would be working with many of the guys this season.
