With more snow being dumped on us over the weekend and the lack of warm weather cooperating for golf to get much of anything done outside, Pleasantville head girls’ coach, Dan Calhoun is not worried at all about getting outside before their first meet. In fact, Calhoun said that each of the meets are just used for practice before the conference and regional tournaments later on in the season. He mentioned that his team is doing what they can; they were on spring break last week and this week he’ll have even more girls gone on a vocal trip. The Trojans’ head coach also said that his team doesn’t get too excited early in the year and their main goal is to be ready by the time the tournaments do come around. Calhoun added that his team is very lucky to have the privilege of playing for free at the Pleasantville Country Club because of a deal the school worked out with the golf course. The Trojans’ girls start their season hopefully in the first week of April.
