The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reports that area roadways are up to 100% snow covered and may be slick. The State Patrol reports that roads are partially covered in surrounding areas, and roadways to our north and west are mostly wet. Five inches of snow has fallen in the county, and a tow ban is in effect.
KNIA/KRLS is receiving reports of vehicles in ditches. County plows are in operation.
The Sheriff’s Office urges caution if you must drive this morning. Take plenty of time to get to your destination, leave plenty of distance behind the vehicle in front of you and give our road crews and first responders plenty of room to work.
