Golf coaches Val Edwards and Mike Smith for PCM are ready for their teams to tee things off after an extended bout of cabin fever forced most of their preseason activity indoors. Edwards was keeping it loose during practice inside; even having impromptu dodgeball games with the whiffle balls they were practicing with. Smith says his guys have taken it upon themselves to go up to Newton and Des Moines to hit some balls on the driving range and even get on the course for a few holes. The boys will be on the road at Harvest Point in Oskaloosa to take on Lynnville-Sully and Eddyville-Blakesburg, while the girls will be at Gateway Golf Course against the Rockets and Des Moines Christian. Both meets tee off today at 4:00 p.m.
