North Polk is the next destination for the Pella Christian’s boys’ soccer team on Monday as they will be starting a week featuring three games in four days. The Eagles started their season this past Thursday, losing in a 2 – 0 match against PCM. Coach Gerrit Brouwer liked the tempo his team held throughout the game, but said his team wasn’t ready for a few counter attacks that ended up costing them. With such a busy week on the docket, Brouwer said that he anticipated the upcoming week and had his guys preparing for it a few weeks ago. The Eagles’ head coach mentioned that the team has been working on their endurance by making a morning run either at home or at school. He says that getting their stamina work out of the way first thing means they can focus on fitness during practices. Monday night’s varsity match on the pitch against North Polk gets started at 7:00 p.m.
