For the second consecutive week, the Central College men’s track and field team fell in the latest rankings put out by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for Division III schools. After being ranked 19th a week ago, the Dutch have fallen to 21st in the polls, for what looks like no apparent reason. Central participated in the Jim Duncan Invitational this past weekend, and no team scores were kept, but the Dutch did look strong, posting some high finishes despite bigger schools such as UNI and ISU being in attendance. Central will be hosting their own meet this weekend, the Central Open, which takes place on Saturday at the Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium in Pella, with field events slated for a 10:00 a.m. start and running events beginning at 11.
