Dropping completely out of the rankings a few games into the season, Central’s softball team is methodically climbing the rankings. This week, they jumped five spots to No. 14 in the NFCA Division III Softball Top 25. The boost is coming on the heels of a 3-for-4 week that saw the Dutch sweep Buena Vista, then split a doubleheader with now-No. 10 ranked Coe College on Sunday. Central’s regular season comes to an end this weekend when they host Luther College in a pair of games that will be heard on 92.1 KRLS. A Central sweep gives the Dutch at the very least a share of the Iowa Conference title.
