The Pella Christian girls’ soccer team picked up their third win of the season with a 2 – 0 shutout over South Tama on Monday. Bri Warden got things going practically right out of the game for the Eagles, scoring on a pass from Joanna Brouwer (Brow-er) in minute number seven. Pella Christian added some insurance later on from Marissa Ferguson to secure the win for the Eagles, who have won two straight and improve to 3 – 6 on the year. A big rivalry match hits the Eagles’ pitch this afternoon, when they host Pella in a Little Hawkeye Conference clash, while the boys’ teams are at Pella for their game. Tonight’s games will begin with the varsity first because of the impending weather, and is scheduled now for 6:00 p.m. for the girls and 7:00 p.m. for the boys.
