Knoxville Does Very Well at Conference Art Show

Knoxville High School had 12 art pieces recognized with an award recently at the Little Hawkeye Conference art show, more than any other school in the conference. Art teacher Brian Barkey tells KNIA/KRLS News that nine different students received an award, including three first place finishes. The awards were also spread over seven categories; Barkey says that shows the diversity of Knoxville’s art program. You can see the list of award winners below:

Chris Moody-Honorable Mention in the colored pencil category
Trevor Minard- Honorable Mention in Sculpture
Austin Simms-3rd in Ink
Evy Wells-3rd in Graphic Design
Desirae Nichols-2nd in Computer Aided Art
Jac Agan-2nd in Wheel-thrown Pottery
Sam Piagentini-1st in Wheel-Thrown Pottery
Noah Hefner-(2) 2nd place finishes. 1 in Colored Pencil and the other in Sculpture.
Katie Douglas-(2) 3rd place finishes in Colored Pencil and 2-D Mixed Media and 1st place in Sculpture.
