First, we wanted the snow to go away, now we’re asking the rain to take a hike so our area sports teams can try to have a full season. The PCM boys’ soccer team has dealt with standing water and snow cancellations this year, and they will try and play Chariton this evening. The Mustangs are 2 – 1 after losing their first match of the year to Nevada, 4 – 0. Coach Darrin Telfer told KNIA/KRLS Sports that overall, his guys played well, they just came up against a very good opponent that doesn’t make too many mistakes. Telfer added that tonight’s game will be equally tough, as some seniors will be missing due to the school’s senior trip. If the match does go on as scheduled, PCM and Chariton will begin play on the pitch at 5:30 p.m.
