Val Edwards’ PCM girls’ golf team took a seven stroke victory over their closest competitor on Tuesday in the ten-team West Marshall Invite. The Mustangs were led by Maddie Peters, whose 18-hole round of 90 was good for fourth place overall individually, and Rachel Phifer shot a 96 to back her up. Coach Edwards said she is very happy with how the girls are playing this early in the season, and hopes to see them continue to improve alongside the weather. The PCM girls’ golf team will next hit the links on Thursday for a meet at Albia.
