Gateway Golf Course is the venue for a big girls’ golf meet, as Pella, PCM and Knoxville will all be in attendance. The Mustangs’ ladies are ranked fourth in the state in Class 3A, while the Lady Dutch are 13th. Coach Val Edwards has had a lot to smile about from her girls, who currently hold a 31 – 1 record with an average team score of just around 200. A pair of Pella Christian girls will also be golfing in Monroe, says head coach, Larry Hessing. The others will be on the senior class trip. While the girls have their fun in Monroe, the current Class 2A number one team in the state PCM Boys will head to Moravia to golf at The Preserve. Senior Hunter Van Veen continues his dominance, as he shot an even par 72 at Gateway on Monday. Both meets are scheduled to tee off today at 1:00 p.m.
