“Neutral Pattern” In Pacific Will Provide Summer Consistency in Weather

When you hear weather patterns being projected long-term, you usually hear meteorologists reference “El Nino” or “La Nina,” depending on whether the Pacific Ocean is warmer or colder than normal. This summer, however, Weathereye Meteorologist Ray Miller says we’re experiencing a neutral pattern. Miller says that since those ocean temperatures are expected to remain around normal for the next 3-6 months, weather patterns will likely not see drastic changes. South-central Iowa is expected to see above normal temperatures and perception over the next three months.
