Without number one player, Ashley Jahner on the course, the Pleasantville girls’ golf team still gave Class 3A North Polk a scare Thursday afternoon, falling by nine strokes, 204 – 213. Megan Peterson of North Polk was the meet medalist with a nine-hole round of 43, while freshman Hannah Gordon for the Trojans was just one stroke behind to earn runner-up honors with her card of 44. Pleasantville’s girls will be golfing later today at Bloomfield at 4:00 p.m.
