St. Nicholas Orthodox Christian Church invites you to come and see Ancient Christian Worship in celebration of Pascha, or Orthodox Easter. The schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, May 1st at 7:00 p.m.: Bridegroom Matins
Thursday, May 2nd at 10:00 a.m.: Vesperal Liturgy commemorating the Last Supper.
Thursday, May 2nd at 7:00 p.m.: The Gospel readings of Christ’s passion and death.
Friday, May 3rd at 8:30 a.m.: Royal Hours of Holy Friday
Friday, May 3rd at 3:00 p.m.: Vespers commemorating the crucifixion of Christ.
Friday, May 3rd at 6:00 p.m.: Lamentations of Christ’s death and burial.
Saturday, May 4rd at 10:00 a.m.: 15 Old Testament readings foreshadowing Christ’s death and resurrection.
Saturday, May 4rd at 11:30 p.m.: The proclamation and celebration of Christ’s Resurrection.
Sunday, May 5th at 2:00 p.m.: Vespers – celebrating the risen Lord appearing to His disciples.
The services will be held at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, located at 621 1/2 Franklin St. in Pella. All are welcome!
