With the Drake Relays over with, serious business begins on Monday in Oskaloosa as the Indians host the Little Hawkeye Conference boys’ and girls’ track meets. For the girls, the Lady Dutch finished first in their heat in the 4×100 meter relay, and set several season bests all across the board. Madison Fopma, who was the Eagles’ lone entry in the Relays, was tied for eighth in the high jump. Quikstats shows many of the relay and individual events led by the Lady Dutch, with Oskaloosa and Norwalk right there near the top, as well. Knoxville has a few events it can contend for on the girls side, the Panthers’ Emily Belloma is third in the conference according to Quickstats in the long jump with a season-best 15-7 1/2 inches. The Panthers also in the top five in the 4×200 and 800 meter relays. It is the same story on the other side with the boys, Pella with first place performances so far this season among conference times. Knoxville could be Pella’s closest competition as the Panthers counter with ten events they are in the top two. The co-ed conference meet begins at five in Oskaloosa.
