Outflow Decreased as Lake Red Rock Levels Rise

Heavy rains raised the Level of Lake Red Rock approximately 10 feet over the past few days from 742 feet to approximately 752 feet. This has caused flooding of numerous roadways near the lake. According to the Corp of Engineers, estimated inflow to the lake went from under 10K cubic feet per second (cfs) to near 75K cfs. Outflow from the lake has been decreased to near zero to protect those downstream. Inflow was expected to peak today. Without significant rainfall increase the lake level will peak the middle of next week, then fall, with outflow nearing normal levels then as well.
