Head girls’ golf coach at PCM, Val Edwards said her girls just couldn’t quite hang with Grinnell on Saturday, as her girls came up with a second place finish out of seven teams at the Charion meet. Four of the Mustangs’ five golfers placed in the top ten, including Cassidy Van Veen’s 98 and her sister Kelsey’s 99. Taylor Phifer also contributed an 18-hole round of 100. The Mustangs’ girls will next be in action at Albia on Monday, a meet that was previously scheduled for April 18.
