A pair of ranked Pella squads and some very competitive Pella Christian teams will try to win the Little Hawkeye Conference title at the conference meets which take place tomorrow. The boys will be playing at the course in Norwalk. The Little Dutch are ranked second in the state in Class 3A, only behind Williamsburg, and could be considered the team to beat. The tandem of Corey Elliott and Sean Rennich are ranked fourth and fifth in the state, respectively. Oskaloosa is the next closest to Pella in terms of other schools in the conference; the Indians are ranked 14th. The Lady Dutch are 13th in the state in Class 4A, and Newton is ahead of them at number six. The Pella and Pella Christian girls have a “home course advantage,” so to speak, as their meet will be taking place at Bos Landen. Both of the Little Hawkeye Conference contests are scheduled to tee off at 9:00 a.m.
